At Nana House Ericeira, we believe a great dinner can do more than fill your stomach - it can fund a water station in the Dominican Republic, protect sharks off the coast of Tenerife, or help a family grow their own food for the first time.

Together with the AWAKE Global Community, our charity dining events turn good food and good company into real support for organizations doing vital, on-the-ground work.

More Than a Meal

Every dish at our charity dinners tells part of a bigger story. As you eat, you're also part of the conversation - about sustainability, community, and what it actually takes to make change happen. It's proof that doing good and having a great night out don't have to be separate things.

Here's who your seat at the table is helping.

AWAKE Global Community

AWAKE started in 2016 as a small project on kids' education and awareness. It has since grown into a global network of professionals working on ecological and social issues -running hands-on, community-driven projects with local partners in the Dominican Republic, Indonesia, and Senegal. Their focus stays practical: real solutions, built with the communities they serve, not for them.

Cabarete Sostenible

On the North Shore of the Dominican Republic, roughly 80% of Cabarete's population faces food insecurity. Founded in 2020 by a coalition of NGOs, local leaders, and volunteers, Cabarete Sostenible was built to change that - not through handouts, but through food sovereignty.

Right now, they:

Distribute nutritious food to families in need
Run community gardens and permaculture farms
Teach food education programs

Next up: a water purification and bottling station, built as a social enterprise, so the community can secure both its food and water future for the long term.

Condrik Tenerife

Launched by Marine Biology master's students at the University of La Laguna, Condrik Tenerife studies and protects sharks, rays, and chimeras in the waters around the Canary Islands - species that quietly keep the entire marine food chain in balance.

Using Baited Remote Underwater Video Stations (BRUVS), the team gathers real data on these populations, while also running workshops with diving and fishing centers to build local support for ocean conservation. Their work directly supports UN Sustainable Development Goal 14: Life Below Water.
